Press Release
Local businesses unite to raise money for Children’s Cancer Charity
Local businesses are hoping to raise at least £500 for NACCPO children’s cancer charity by tackling the Three Peaks Challenge on June 18th. Three intrepid climbers and one driver will be scaling the highest mountain peaks in England, Scotland and Wales which will mean over 11,000ft/3km of climbing and descending, 26+ miles of walking and 500 miles of driving in under 24 hours!
The team consists of Simon Coope & Martin Sutton from C.S. Fire & Security Ltd. along with Steve Nixon from Modern Styling Ltd. Team back up and driving will be provided by Mick Maddox of Edmunson’s Electrical.
All three businesses will be funding the challenge and relying on the generosity of friends, families and customers to help us raise as much money as possible for NACCPO in the process. To encourage donations Weston Hall have kindly donated a fabulous meal for two for the person who guesses the finish time for the challenge along with a bottle of champagne donated by C.S. Fire & Security Ltd. and Modern Styling Ltd. – to enter simply visit the Team’s Justgiving page at: www.justgiving.com/csfire and make a donation of at least £5. Off-line donations can also be made by calling Martin on: 01889 271858 or email: info@csfiresecurity.com
NACCPO Operations Manager Rachael Olley said: “We are thrilled that these local businesses have chosen to raise funds for us, we are a small charity that relies on donations to continue our valuable work and this type of support means we can reach more families in need.” Rachael added “I am really grateful to everyone for all their hard work and dedication and the many hours that they are spending to train for this challenge.”
