Mrs Gill Millward was presented with her Signal 1 Unsung Hero Award as 'Carer of the Year'. She was able to nominate a charity to receive a donation from the radio station. We are delighted to say she chose NACCPO. Gill is pictured with her award.
Knights of the Empire (KOTE) stormed the streets of Blackpool on a very windy day in January 2007 to the great amusement of hundreds of pigeon fanciers that were attending a nearby conference in the Winter Gardens! KOTE had been invited to raise funds for NACCPO at The Who Shop who made a very generous donation to top up the collecting buckets. Undeterred by the freezing temperatures costumers and crew patrolled the area delighting children and adults alike. The total raised on the day was £429.02!!

NACCPO Committee members were proud to be a part of the gaps:line launch in the House of Commons in January 2006. gaps:line is a NACCPO member group which provides a national telephone support line for families whose children have cancer. It is manned by highly-trained volunteers, all of which have undergone the rigours of having a child diagnosed with disease.
