There are many good sources of information about childhood cancer on the web but there are also sites that may give misleading information, so if you have any doubts about treatment or any other issues it is always best to speak to your child’s medical team.

Cancerbackup
Cancer information service for adults and children with cancer providing up-to-date cancer information, practical advice and support for cancer patients, families and carers. Also has a freephone care line: 0808 800 1234
CancerHelp UK
A free information service through Cancer Research UK about cancer, clinical trials and cancer care for people with cancer and their families.
Children’s Cancer & Leukaemia Group
Aa professional organisation and charity responsible for the organisation of the treatment and management of children with cancer in the UK.
The website contains useful resources for the parents of young people with cancer and other family members.

Children First for Health
Iis a child-centred health and hospital resource, supporting teenagers, children and their families.
This is not specifically for children/teens with cancer but the website has useful contact details for NHS Hospitals, explanation of medical terms written in an age-appropriate way and information about tests and coming into hospital.
CLIC Sargent
Charity providing information and support for all family members affected by childhood cancer. Includes information for parents on all aspects of childhood cancer, message boards and a free childhood cancer helpline: 0800 197 0068 Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
